Ignite the Night Fall Crawl

Ignite The Night Run at Interlake SRA

The summer heat is fading, but we are just getting started.

It’s time to stretch those live-valve shocks — or non-live-valves — click on those auxiliary light bars, and get some fresh mud on the tires. We’re putting together the official fall edition of our meetup, and you’re invited to the next Ignite The Night Run at Interlake State Recreation Area.

This is a completely free, non-paid event designed to bring the Raptor and off-road community together for an epic weekend of trail riding, catching up, and seeing what these trucks can do when the sun goes down.

Whether you’re a seasoned night-wheeler or just want to see what your rig feels like off pavement, all generations and skill levels are welcome.

Traveling With Family?

We want to make this a family-friendly weekend. Depending on headcount and RSVP numbers, we are looking into reserving a block of rooms at a discounted group rate at a local hotel.

Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can get an accurate count.

If you’ll need a hotel room, please leave a comment on the Facebook event so we can negotiate the best possible rate for the group.

Staying Somewhere Else?

We want to accommodate everyone. There are plenty of nearby campgrounds and closer hotels, and no one is required to stay in one specific spot.

While our recommendation is to stay in Jasper, Indiana, you are absolutely welcome to stay wherever works best for you.

Do you, boo boo.

Important Time Zone Notice

Indiana uses both Central and Eastern time zones throughout the state. This event takes place very close to one of those time zone lines, which means your phone or truck may switch back and forth multiple times during the weekend.

To minimize confusion, all posted event times will be Eastern Time.

We recommend locking your phone or vehicle clock to a known time zone and not allowing it to auto-adjust during the event.

Tentative Schedule

Friday, October 2

  • Arrival Day
Arrive in town or check into your accommodations and get ready for a full Saturday.
  • Optional Evening Hangout
There may be a mod evening or s’mores meetup. Details are still to be determined.

Saturday, October 3

  • Morning Meetup at Interlake SRA
    Time TBD
Meet at the main parking lot for group staging, drivers’ meeting, radio check, group photo, and airing down.
  • Hit the Trails
We will hit the trails as a group. Depending on turnout, we may split into smaller groups based on trail difficulty preferences and overall group size.
  • Lunch Break
Plan for a tailgate lunch or quick trail meal. Please pack your own food, snacks, and plenty of water.
  • Afternoon Scouting Ride
We will spend the afternoon running the same trails we plan to tackle after dark so everyone is familiar with them. Afterward, we’ll head back to the main lot and air up for the drive to dinner.
  • No-Host Dinner at RETRO Mexican Restaurant
    Time TBD
We will leave Interlake in the mid-afternoon and convoy back to Jasper, Indiana for dinner at RETRO Mexican Restaurant. Dinner is optional, but the food is absolutely worth it.
  • Disperse or Hang Out
After dinner, you can head back to your hotel for a quick nap, return to your accommodations, or hang out until it is time to head out for the main event.
  • Night Run Meetup at Interlake SRA
    Time TBD
If you are with the group, we will convoy back together. If you are staying elsewhere, the official meetup time will be posted so you can meet us at the park lot.
  • The Main Event: Ignite The Night Run
We will run the same trails from earlier in the day, but this time it will be dark and everyone gets to use those lighting setups. We’ll meet in the main lot, air down, and roll out.

Sunday, October 4

  • Flexible Departure Day
You can disperse and head home.
  • Optional Morning Bonus Session
If enough people are interested, we may head back to Interlake for one more trail session.

What to Bring

  • Your Ford Raptor, Bronco, or off-road vehicle
Clean or dirty, it does not matter. Other brands are welcome too. We don’t hate on other brands… unless it’s a Chevy. Just kidding.
  • Dual-band radio
For trail communication. MURS/GLRE and GMRS capability is recommended. Exact channels will be determined at the staging area.
  • Food and drinks
Packed lunch, snacks, and a cooler full of drinks for the trails.
  • Recovery gear
Standard recovery gear such as tow straps and shackles, if you have them.
  • The essentials
A good attitude and a spirit for adventure.

We will have a few spare handheld radios available, but supplies will be very limited.

Safety & Event Disclaimer

This is a casual group meetup. All drivers are responsible for their own vehicles, park passes, safety, and decisions on the trail.

Please respect the park rules, drive responsibly, and help us keep this a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

This is a highly family-friendly event, so please feel free to bring spouses and kiddos. With that in mind, there is a strict zero-tolerance policy for impaired driving.

We will be in a state park and driving on public roads. If you are found to be impaired, you will be asked to leave immediately.

Please also understand that some of these trails are Jeep-style trails. There is always a possibility of trail pinstriping, scratches, or minor body damage. You are off-roading at your own risk.

While we cannot guarantee your vehicle will not be scratched or damaged, we will do everything within reason to spot, guide, and help minimize potential damage during the run.
